About
I’m Rohit Begani. I grew up in Delhi, India.
I started building companies while I was in college, when I co-founded and bootstrapped ObtuseOrange. I worked across design, merchandising, e-commerce, and software, including projects with organizations such as Ford, Nissan, and Delhi University.
In 2015, I took my first-ever flight and left India for the first time to move to Boston. I studied computer science at Northeastern University, specializing in artificial intelligence.
While in Boston, I joined AceUp. Today, I'm the co-founder and Chief Product & Technology Officer, leading product and engineering.
Much of my recent work has been on AI systems that need to understand context, remember what matters, and help people reason through problems over time. I’ve worked across agentic systems, memory and retrieval, evaluations, and the infrastructure needed to make these products useful and reliable in enterprise environments. Much of that work comes together in Ally, the AI coaching companion we’re building at AceUp.
Outside of work, I’m a die-hard Arsenal supporter, read a lot, and usually have a side project I’m tinkering with.
I occasionally invest in early-stage startups through Angel Squad syndicates / SPVs. View my investments.
